[ It's like a scene ripped right out of hell when the swarm of summer pixies swoop through the sky, cackling and chittering amongst themselves in an unrecognizable language and the arid air around them crackles into flames. The fires are bad enough in the heart of Haven, but just a little beyond the inner sanctum of the city where houses aren't made of brick and stone, but wood and straw, everything is a potential hazard.
Though Keith had primarily been patrolling the streets for any wayward pixies, when he spots a house burning in the distance, despite the heat he feels his blood turn to ice. Instinctively, he starts to run towards it. Pushing his way through a small group of horrified onlookers, it's readily surmisable that a young chimera is still trapped inside.
That's just about all the information Keith needs to decide to rush inside the burning house. What else is he supposed to do? Let someone burn to death? But the air inside the house is thick with grey smoke and flames have started burning up just about anything flammable. Keith coughs, eyes starting to sting as he makes his way through what was once a living room and kicks down the first door he sees. ]
Hello?
[ Coughing again, he covers his nose and mouth with his shirt sleeve. The heat inside the house is suffocating, and there are already beads of sweat forming on his brow. Luckily, he spots the chimera child, but she's unconscious and stuck under a beam that's fallen from the ceiling. Too flushed with adrenaline to care or notice getting burned, Keith grabs the beam and starts trying to lift it up. ]
